It’s no secret if you have been reading WearTesters for any amount of time that PEAK makes some good basketball shoes. The TP9 series has consistently been a real performer and the Dwight Howard series is coming along as well. Now, we get the PEAK Delly 1, Matthew Dellavadova’s first shoe with the brand.
We first got a look at the shoe last June, and while reactions were mixed, it still has all the tools to be a good on-court shoe (and should look good off court as well). Now, we get news from Down Under that the shoe is available for pre-order.
Found on the PEAK Sports Australia website, the Delly 1 is priced at $160 AUS, or around $122 USD. It will be available around the end of March. There are four initial launch colorways in the adult line and seven (seven!!) in the childrens/GS line (all builds pictured here are the adult verisons).
Now that we finally have some official images, you can see the changes in the traction pattern – the move from a diamond PEAK pattern to a more traditional herringbone. The carbon fiber plate appears to have been removed — no mention of it on the site — and replaced with a TPU plate, which is not a bad thing most times. There is now a clear window in the heel to show the Cushion-3, found in the DH1 and 2, and the forefoot features the same Gradient Dual setup as the TP 4 and DH2. Overall, not a bad setup. Going out on a limb, since the website is about as vague as you can get, it appears that the upper is a textile/woven with a Kurim overlay, much like the Jordan Ultra.Fly and Lebron XIII Elite. Again, not a bad thing at all if that’s the case.
After having seen the official pics, thoughts? Will you look for a pair to try them out? You know we are going to put them to the test, so if you aren’t sure, stay tuned for the performance reviews.

These look like they could be a sleeper. I like the basic herringbone, and if they copped the fit of the Kobes as well as the look then it could be solid.
I like the Black and Grey colorways. Good for Delly.
This is a solid one. Kinda looks like a kobe shoe though.
When will there be a review??
