Best Cheap Basketball Shoes 2023

Nike Kyrie Infinity
The Nike Kyrie 8 is amazing, and the best shoe in Kyrie’s signature line, alongside the Kyrie 6. The shoe offers a perfect blend of cushioning and low-profile performance, which makes you wonder why Nike doesn’t use the same setup in every Kyrie shoe. The shoe features a large volume forefoot Zoom strobel unit and another standard unit in the heel. On top of that, you get excellent lockdown and some really great premium materials along the upper. The shoe is like a less clunky version of the Jordan 13, which is high praise. For less than 80 bucks, they are currently the best cheap basketball shoes. Read the full review. Price: $140 $70

Nike KD 14
The Nike KD 14 provides great traction, cushion, decent materials, solid fit, and decent support. It’s a well-rounded, all-around performer, perfect for any player, and one of the best basketball shoes. The fit is tricky, so going up a half size or trying them on in-store is recommended. If you get the fit right, you’ll enjoy the cushioning combo of a full-length Zoom Air Strobel and Cushlon midsole. This will serve well for all positions and play styles, one of the best basketball shoe deals out there. Read the full review. Price: $150 $110

Nike PG 5
The Nike PG 5 are bad boys (our term for great performing shoes). Great traction. Materials that actually work in containing one’s foot. Added support features. And a comfortable fit. The Nike PG 5 is a very well-rounded shoe that will accommodate a lot of your basketball needs, especially indoors. One of the better cheap basketball shoes you will find. Read the full review. Price: $110 $77
New Balance TWO WXY V2
The New Balance TWO WXY V2 is an upgrade from the last version and is even better than their flagship model for the Klaw. The traction is fantastic for as long as it lasts. You’ll want to really tighten your laces when you put these on because you might get caught off guard by how good they bite floors. The cushion with FuelCell and Abzorb DRS works well for most positions. The FitWeave upper is comfortable and moves well with your feet. Probably the best basketball shoe from New Balance, especially for outdoor play. Read the full review. Price: $130

Nike Zoom Freak 3
The Greek Freak’s third signature sneaker, the Nike Zoom Freak 3, boasts two huge Zoom Air pods in the forefoot that are housed in plastic and sit within a Phylon midsole. This gives both court feel and impact protection. Aside from the cushion, the fit, support, and materials all did their jobs just fine. You’re not going to get anything extraordinary here, but you’re also not going to get anything terrible, just a solid on-court shoe. Read the full review. Price: $120 $65

adidas Harden Vol. 6
The adidas Harden Vol 6 has been much anticipated, especially after the not-so-good previous signature sneaker from James Harden. Right off the bat, these feel like they’ll be way better. With Harden now moving to another team, the Philadelphia 76ers, it will really feel like a fresh start for him and his fans. Also, if you want full-length Boost in your basketball shoe, this is the only currently available option. One of the best cheap basketball shoes, Read the full review. Price: $140 $112

Nike LeBron Witness 6
The Nike LeBron Witness 6 begs the question: where else would you find nearly full-length Air for $100? Shoes like the Air Jordan 7 and Air Jordan 10 offer full-length Air encased in polyurethane and Jordan Brand charges almost $200 for those. The support features are another aspect that draws attention, especially with the rubber piece in the heel that will lessen the probability of ankle injuries. This shoe is proof of how much budget models have evolved and improved over the years. Easily one of the best budget basketball shoes available. Read the full review. Price: $100 $85

Nike Renew Elevate 2
The Nike Renew Elevate 2 is just behind the Nike Air Max Impact 3. These have got those beat in the traction department. Overall, the break-in period is the only part that could be improved. In an era of synthetics and textiles, break-in periods, for the most part, have been eliminated for most sneakers. I wish these followed that trend. Besides that, though, these are killers on the basketball court. Read the full review. Price: $80 $50
