Giannis Antetokounmpo Shoe Reviews

Latest Giannins Model

Nike Zoom Freak 4

  • Best Giannis shoe to date
  • Springy cushion
  • Not for eveyone
  • Price: $120

The Nike Zoom Freak 3 is the best Giannis shoe to date. Up to this point the Giannis signature line has been underwhelming performance wise, but the Freak 3 seems to have got the line back on track. The shoe isn’t amazing but it gets the job done.

The marketing and press release for the Freak 3 was staggering but the Freak 3 looks like a shoe that really isn’t a shoe for everyone. The shoe performs well for specific types, with a specific foot shape. The shoe is more comfortable than the Freak 2 right off the bat, and features great Kobe 9-ish traction. The shoe features a bouncy and fluffy foam midsole and two giant forefoot Zoom pods, great for forefoot heavy players.

Nike Giannis Immortality Performance Review

The Nike Giannis Immortality offers good performance for a budget signature model. The Phylon isn’t terrible but isn’t fantastic either. Colorway: Black/White/Wolf Grey/Clear Release Date: July 2021 Price: $80 The Nike Giannis Immortality falls under the category of signature athlete budget model. But, the funny thing is, this isn’t like any other take down. It’s one of the best of its kind, and went straight to our best budget basketball shoe list for the year. Nike Zoom Freak 3 Review

The Nike Zoom Freak 3 features a seemingly outdated technology with the Zoom Air pods. They’re not as bouncy as you think, but they work. Colorway: Black/White Release Date: August 2021 Price: $120 The Nike Zoom Freak 3 is the latest addition to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s signature sneaker line. It reminds us of some other previous and current Nike basketball shoes. The marketing and press release for this one seem a bit ridiculous, but the Freak 3 looks like it could perform well for specific people, doing a specific move, with a specific foot shape.

Nike Zoom Freak 2

The Nike Zoom Freak 2 is ready just in time for play to start inside the NBA Bubble. Giannis Antetokounmpo figures to be a big part of the NBA season’s pandemic-delayed conclusion with his league leading Milwaukee Bucks attempting to bring home a title.

Zoom Freak 4 Shoes

The Nike Zoom Freak 4 keeps what we’ve loved about the Nike Zoom Freak 3 but improves on enough things to make it its own shoe. One of the most notable changes is the upper materials. It’s more lightweight and includes different kinds of textiles. The cushion is mostly the same, but the outsole doesn’t make the two forefoot Zoom Air pods as evident.

However, just like last year’s model, the shoe isn’t for everyone. People heavy on their strides and steps, like the Greek Freak, will enjoy these the most.

Zoom Freak 3 Shoes

2021 has ment more of the same for Giannis. He has maintained his insane averages and still hold the torch as the most dominant player physically in the game. The Bucks have been hovering around the 2nd and 3rd place slot in the Eastern Conference, a slight slump coming off a championship year.

Giannis has been averaging just around 28 ppg, 11.5 rbpg and 5.9 assist with a steal and a block to boot. He is again one of the favorites to run away with the MVP trophy.

The Freak 3 has been one of  the more popular models among NBA players during the 2021-22 season and has been seen in a wide variety of colorways. This year Nike has also put out the Giannis immortality, an excellent take down model that has also been a very popular model. The Giannis immortality actually made our list of the top budget models of the year.

Zoom Freak 2 Shoes

The Zoom Freak 2s followed the example of the Freak 1 in the cushioning department, meaning that they barely had any. The shoe features a stiff but responsive foam midsole and a, barely noticeable, forefoot Zoom Air unit. The traction is actually one of the best features of the shoe. It is configured in a circular configuration that gives multi-directional coverage. The upper is soft and synthetic and offers a good amount of support.

It is a good model if you are looking for a responsive quick feeling shoe, but it has more low points than highs.

2020-21 season was the best season in Giannis’ career. Giannis was, one again one of the top players in the NBA on both ends of the floor. He averages a whoopping 28 ppg, 11 rbpg, 5.9 apg with over a block and over a steal. He was named to the all NBA 1st team, the NBA all Defensive team and, most importantly, would bring home the NBA championship to Milwaukee, defeating the Phoenix Suns in the finals.

The Freak 2 was a very popular shoe among NBA players, and the shoes synthetic upper allowed for a huge variety of colorways. One of the coolest colorways that we saw, was a black, yellow and green University of Oregon colorway.

Zoom Freak 1 Shoes

The Nike Zoom Freak 1 stands out because of their one-to-one fit and court feel are its best attributes. If you love those features, you will love this shoe. But they aren’t the most well-rounded sneakers.

The traction was inconsistent and the Freak 1 barely has any cushion at all.

This is Giannis Antentokoumpo’s first signature shoe and, therefore, has plenty of room to grow if they want to create a shoe that caters to a wider audience.

The Greek Freak had a very eventful 2020 season. Aside from getting his very own signature shoe with Nike, Giannis also turned in a massive NBA season. He would end up averaging 29,5 ppg, 13,6 rbpg, 5,6 apg with a steal and a block. He would be named to the NBA all-star team, the All NBA First Team, the NBA 1st All-Defensive Team and would take home the Defensive Player of the Year award and the MVP award. WOW! He would ultimately fall short in his pursuit of an NBA championship, but he still turned in one of the most impressive individual seasons of all time.

The Freak 1 was one of the best-looking shoes of 2020 with a design that felt fresh and retro at the same time. It was also one of the more popular models among NBA players that year. The fact that was so popular, was pretty surprising since the performance features were on the weaker side.
