10 Best Anta Basketball Shoes 2024

Best Anta Basketball Shoes

Anta is one of China’s main sports brands. Anta has several high-caliber signature athletes including Klay Thompson and Gordon Hayward. And though they might not be as popular as other brands in the US, Anta basketball shoes are great on-court performers. Specifically, the Thompson and Hayward signature lines are some of the brand’s best. They might not be on the level of the LeBron and KD signature lines quite yet, but they’re on track to be some of the top signature lines you can find on the NBA hardwood.

Anta basketball shoes are some of the best shoes you can get outside of the mainstream, so if you are looking for something a bit different, but that will give you some great on-court performance, you are in the right place. You can also check out our list of the best basketball shoes overall, if you want to check out what else is out there.

Which NBA Players wear Anta Basketball Shoes?

NBA players have been lacing up Anta basketball shoes for almost a decade now. Kevin Garnett, Luis Scola, and Rajon Rondo were some of the first players in the league to sign with the brand, and now Anta has a solid roster of NBA players.

Aside from Klay and Hayward, Terance Mann of the Clippers, Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls, and James Wiseman and Kevon Looney of the Golden State Warriors all have deals with Anta. Other players like Taurean Prince, Daniel Gafford, Max Strus, Jacob Evans, E’Twaun Moore, Hamidou Diallo, Saben Lee, and Precious Achiuwa have all played in Anta basketball shoes this season but don’t have an official deal with the Chinese brand.

If Anta basketball shoes can keep up with all these NBA players, they can keep on with anyone.

Best Anta Basketball Shoes Overall

Anta Kai 1

This is the ultimate Kyrie shoe. If you’ve enjoyed Kyrie’s shoes with Nike, you’ll love these. They are secure, agile, quick, and bouncy. This is a wonderful first signature for Kyrie with Anta, and, considering that they retail for just $125, they’re easily one of the best bang-for-your-buck performance models of the year. They take a bit to break in, and ventilation is an issue, but in general, these are great.

Anta threw everything but the kitchen sink into these, something you won’t find in other more popular brands *(cough) Nike* which is probably the reason why Kyrie decided to find a different brand to work with. These look good, play good, and are affordable. What else could you ask for. Read the full review. Price $125.

ANTA KT 9 PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Anta KT 9

The Anta KT 9 might be one of the top shoes this year. If you are looking for springy cushioning, the best stability underfoot, enough impact to help your knees and back, and fit and traction that are both All-Star (maybe even Hall of Fame) level, look no further. The KT 9 should work for ANY position, from the shiftiest guards to the big boys. Priced at $130, it’d be a value at $30-$40 more. Read full review. Price $130.

Anta Shock Wave 5

Even though the Anta Shock Wave 5 wasn’t designed specifically for Kyrie Irving, it’s a very “Kyrie feeling” shoe. If you liked Kyrie’s Nike shoes you will like this one as well. Anta really has thought of everything when designing this model and has created an elite guard shoe. So, if you were looking for an agile, low-profile, reactive hoop shoe, with a dash of impact protection underfoot, the Shock Wave 5 is going to be a very good option. Read full review. Price $115.

Anta KT 7

The Anta KT 7, Klay Thompson’s signature shoe, feels like the Nike LeBron 19, in the sense that the brand just threw every single piece of tech in there. As far as Anta basketball shoes go, it’s the elite of the elite. The cushion is for sure the highlight of the sneaker.

They describe it as nitrogen-infused foam. It does look like an ETPU and it feels really comfortable yet stable at the same time. It’s wrapped on the lateral side and exposed on the medial side, similar to Adidas’ previous setups with Boost. As far as support goes, we have the 3D Hug system that works in conjunction with the carbon fiber torsion plate. This has the best of everything the brand has to offer. See the full review. Anta KT 8

The Anta KT 8 is packed with technology that it’s tough to break down one by one. The foam carrier is AFlash Edge, Anta’s comfortable proprietary foam compound. In the forefoot, we have a Pebax-based cushion system. The heel features their patented Smart SAM system. Even with this much in the midsole, the feeling is more muted than before, thus helping your ankle stay stable. The 3D-printed Flow spring plate also aids in this department. The collar may looks strange to you, but that’s because it’s convertible. You can keep it as a high or make it into a low. Read full review. Price: $160

Anta GH3

The Anta GH3 is the third signature sneaker for Gordon Hayward of the Charlotte Hornets. The midsole is composed of the brand’s A-Flash Edge foam and it has a Nitro Edge forefoot puck, much like how Nike would do it with Zoom Air. As far as feel, it isn’t as bouncy as the air-based cushion, but they’re not uncomfortable either. There’s also the TPU sidewall frame and a torsional plate that helps stabilize the whole shoe. The most interesting thing about this are the lateral and medial straps that actually connect to the tongue. See the full review. Price: $135

Anta KT 6

The Anta KT 6 may be jarring for some, but it was the avenue that the brand used to introduce a lot of their new tech. At the forefront of that charge are Smart SAM and 3D Hug. Smart SAM is more of a targeted cushioning setup where that specific foam is placed at the most high-impact areas. 3D hug, on the other hand, is for overall containment and support for your foot. It also cages in the main foam, Alti Flash, so that you don’t jump out of the gym. It’s definitely a good first try for the brand with all that crazy tech. See the full review. Price: $125

Anta Shock the Game 5.0

The Anta Shock the Game 5.0 features the brand’s A-Flash Edge foam and it literally feels like Zoom but in foam form. It’s one of the better Anta basketball shoes. The Shock the Game 5.0 is comparable to the Nike KD 14 in terms of bounciness. On top of the midsole, we have a mix of more modern materials such as textiles and rubber overlays that help with support. The shoe was designed with outdoor courts and hoopers in mind and it certainly feels that way. They are still playable indoors, though. If you want to try something different from the main brands, this is one great option. See the full review. Price: $100

Anta KT 6 Low

The Anta KT 6 Low uses the same tooling as its higher cut big brother, but that doesn’t mean it feels the same. A lot of the extra materials on the Anta KT 6 were removed and chopped down. That means that there’s a lot more flexibility and range of motion with these. The Alti Flash foam remains bouncy and comfortable, even if it’s wrapped on the entire medial side. The insoles are also not terrible, especially compared to what we get with other, even bigger, brands. See the full review. Price: $120

Anta GH2

The Anta GH2 is a solid sneaker from 2021. Although it did not make our best basketball shoes list, it still had features that screamed good performance. The outsole is inspired by tiger stripes. The cushion is comfortable with Anta’s Alti-Flash foam. It’s super bouncy and provides a lot of feedback underfoot. There’s also an extensive and massive TPU midfoot shank/plate that will ensure that you don’t twist your feet to the point of injury. These are definitely worth a try. See the full review. Anta GH1

The Anta GH1 made our list of best basketball shoes for 2020. Interestingly enough, the translucent rubber outsole performed better than the solid rubber option. The A-FlashFoam used is similar to adidas’ Bounce cushioning where it provides ample impact protection and some feedback. Fit was a bit tricky because of the bubbly toe, though we still recommend buying true to size. See the full review. Price: $100

Anta RR6

The Anta RR6 is Rajon Rondo’s signature sneaker that was largely slept on in the United States. But make no mistake about their performance. It even made Chris say that it could be the best basketball shoe of 2020 just upon trying it on. If you are a normal footer, you will have to go down half a size in these. Wide footers should be okay with their usual size. There’s also a full-length spring plate that’s reminiscent of the one in the Air Jordan 11. The A-FlashFoam is also comfortable. Best Anta Basketball Shoes for Outdoors 2023

Anta Shock the Game 5.0

The Anta Shock the Game 5.0 is one of Anta’s basketball shoes built specifically for the outdoors. First, the upper materials are both breathable and durable. There are ventilation features and thick plastic and fuse overlays that will make these last a while. Next is the cushion. The foam, A-Flash Edge, offers a ton of impact protection without it becoming unstable. Lastly, the outsole was made to grip outdoor floors well. It’s a great option for those of you who only play outside. See the full review. Price: $100

Anta Shock the Game 4.0

The Anta Shock the Game 4.0 is no slouch, even when compared to its successor. The outsole is extremely beefy and thick with a blade pattern that will for sure grip most outdoor surfaces. And you may notice that it extends to the lateral sides. That will really help contain your feet and minimize the chances of an ankle roll, which can be a lot worse on rough concrete. Underneath that extension is the torsional plate that further enhances the overall support of the shoe. And they’re mad comfortable. See the full review. Price: $85
