The Golden State Warriors’ Kevon Looney gives us a first look at Klay Thompson’s ANTA KT 5 Low.
Thanks to IG user @alexislin40 we have our first look at the ANTA KT 5 Low.
The low top looks to remove everything that was unnecessary about the original higher cut version and keep the build to a minimum. This should reduce the weight a little, although the high top wasn’t too heavy, while also not giving the wearer the feeling they’re playing basketball in boots rather than sneakers.
Overall tech specs look to be the same. Traction and midsole tooling have not been altered, but the overlay strap has been removed completely. We’re not sure if the new lacing structure would be better for performance than the more traditional lacing structure found on the original KT 5, but it does give the low a nice clean look.
There is no word yet on when the ANTA KT 5 Low will be releasing, but ANTA and Klay Thompson have been releasing low top versions of the main signature shoe since the original ANTA KT 1, so we expect to see the same done here.
