The all-red treatment now pops up on a comfy lifestyle runner with this Nike Air Huarache dropping at KicksUSA.
While the main type of red is Varsity Red, you can see that multiple shades of red are utilized, particularly a brighter tone on the neoprene on the side walls. An all-red pair of the Huarache released overseas with a small difference; the toe box was made out of leather instead of this mesh toe iteration.
Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Huarache was released in 1991 and wasn’t a great seller until Nike brought them to marathons for runners to try out. While the shoe is a bit behind in terms of technology, the shoe has found a new market as a lifestyle/fashion shoe with multiple colorways dropping (and selling out) this year.
