The Nike Air Hawk Flight Retro Will Feature Some New Colorways

Back in the 90’s you either wore Nike Flight or Nike Force products, depending on your position.

Quick players usually opted for the Flight series which was geared towards Guards; the Nike Air Hawk Flight was the most popular product for Guards during its run. Nike athletes around the League wore them in team color options – one of the more notable athletes being Gary Payton. The kicks retailed around the $100-120 range and they were packed with signature tech. Carbon fiber shank, heel and forefoot Zoom Air, etc. I’m sure the Retro version will retail for more than $120 and I’m pretty much positive that carbon fiber will be replaced with TPU. As long as the materials and Zoom Air are quality – currently holding breath – then I’ll be happy.

Two brand new colorways were spotted on NikeBlog.com; one features a faux carbon fiber print while the other gives us a Chicago vibe. The two OG colorways shown will also be releasing and look much better than the new stuff – in my personal opinion.

  1. looks like an atrocious retro. should have just left it alone if this is what it was going to be. looks like a cheap takedown model of the real thing. sad. can only imagine the tech and materials that went into it are garbage as well

  2. Would be interesting for a shoe company to come in and just simplify the game. Im talking one high quality shoe for each of the positions 1,2,3,4,5. American’s dont want a lot of choices in the end. Look at walmart and chipotle.

  3. Wore these in the 90’s. Loved them. If they’re lighter now with zoom air that can be felt, will try the white ones for sure. There were some Jason Kidd’s with a similar alien eye thing going on on the side that were brutal on the feet…no cushion.

Where are the JET FLIGHT re-issues? The Steve Nash/best guard shoe ever? If they add a forefoot zoom air to THAT??? it’s over. Pretty please, Nike.

  4. Add string lace loops and weight and some neon and you really aren’t too far off the lbj13.
    Dat innovation
