Following the huge success of the first Nike Air Max 1/97 SW, the Nike x Sean Wotherspoon sneaker is getting a second edition.
Scrapping the colorful and animated look of the first pair, Sean Wotherspoon and Nike seem to be going for a more simplistic and straightforward aesthetic this time around. Deploying a light blue corduroy upper with a blue outsole, the sneaker boasts many more blue hues than the first pair.
“First peek at the second wave! Still early on the sample process, and there’s a lot that’s going to change!” Wotherspoon wrote on Instagram. “I’m thinking add some color to the sole, make that air bubble infrared, gotta change the sock liner to yellow, maybe a new color insole?!”
In his announcement post, which has garnered nearly 110,000 likes at press time, Wotherspoon opened things up for suggestions from the sneaker community; he hinted at new ideas for the color blocking of the sneaker and adding additional patches for the tongues.
