Why did Russell Westbrook bring back the Air Jordan XX8? Why not?

Just incase you forgot, we are currently on the Air Jordan XXX, which means Russ went back not one, but two silhouettes for an unknown reason. All we know is that he probably felt comfortable as hell in his XX8’s as it’s an exceptional on court performer.

What did you think of Russ bringing out the XX8’s last night? Let us know in the comments section below or on social media with the #WearTesters.

  1. Best performance shoes i have ever had – if it wasn’t for the cushion popping i would be still playing in them

  2. NDC released the JB Russell Westbrook collection yesterday. One of the shirts has “Why Not?” on it. I’m pretty sure that has to be the reason.

  3. These had INCREDIBLE bounce, traction and fit…
XXX are really stiff, so I understand him.
Even Kawhi Leonard went back to the XX9 for these playoffs

  4. Makes sense. Russ had a bad game, so he went back to what he likes the best. Hopefully this sends a message to JB to really bring it for the next flagship.

  5. Between the 28, 29, and 30, they are the best performing shoes, before the zoom bag pops anyway. So, you know…why not?

  6. Even after the forefoot zoom bags popped, these shoes are STILL great. The traction is unmatched, and with the deflated zoom bag, my feet can stay closer to the ground.

Just wish the fit can be a bit better. Air Jordans tend to run a little long for me. Some colorways have sub-par laces.

  7. Zoom bag popping is such a massive flaw in these shoes though.. you can still get 28 SEs for $60-70 new.. but seems like a waste of $$. Last pair I had popped after like 10 hours of play.
