Reebok Classic launched the ‘3:AM’ content series in New York with Cam’ron, Trevor “Trouble” Andrew, and Foot Locker. Now, the brand is continuing its exploration of late-night creativity in Atlanta.
Reebok Classic and Foot Locker have partnered with Atlanta-based creative collection LVRN, aka Love Renaissance, and local artist FRKO RICO, aka Freako Rico, to better understand how the city inspires creativity in the early morning hours.
Together, the collaborators have created a short film and an exclusive footwear and apparel collection that showcases how iconic Atlanta hotspots like Cascade roller-skating rink, Little Five Points, and tattoo parlor City of Ink inform the late-night creativity of these artists. The crews’ family and friends even appear in the film.
LVRN is a music management company, record label, and publishing company with five founders — Junia Abaidoo, Justice Baiden, Tunde Balogun, Sean Famoso McNichol and Carlon Ramong.
“We’ve never tried to play by the rules,” said Justice Baiden in a statement. “Reebok Classic and Foot Locker gave us the chance to reinterpret icons and to be the first music management company to have its own sneakers. We’re excited to bring the energy of Atlanta to the world through these designs.”
FRKO RICO may be best known for his instantly recognizable artistic style. His work has graced the album covers of Action Bronson and Ugly God.
“My work has always remained raw and true to my style,” said FRKO RICO in a statement. “Reebok Classic and Foot Locker appreciate my art for what it is and let me do my thing when it came to designing my Classic Leather. I hope this inspires younger generations of Atlanta-based artists to keep doing their thing.”
This limited-edition collection of 3:AM Atlanta footwear and apparel — which includes a Workout Plus 3AM ATL, a LVRN Classic Leather, a FRKO Classic Leather, and several apparel pieces — will be available exclusively at Foot Locker, footlocker.com, and reebok.com on April 27.
