I really wish they would sell PEAK in the U.S.
The traction looks awful – could be awesome like the AJ7 & 8 – but the rest of the sneaker looks like a blast from the past as it’s designed like a 90’s shoe.
Any thoughts on the PEAK Monster?

you’re right, the traction does look awful, but i’m loving the style and the color blocking of this shoe!
The remind me of the lebron 4s
Are these Javale’s? These would be ultra dope in a black & white cw.
if these drop, for the right price, theyd be in my closet in no time
they remind me of the sharkleys. looks pretty cool. its like saying lightweight my ass!
Looks like a distant cousin of the nike sharkleys
After reag some Peak reviews online I bought some direct from China (Javale McGee signatures). One of the best performers of last season imo. Definitely try and get your hands on a pair, this brand is for real.
javale’s is actually number 1 on another sneaker review blog.
I hear Peak has a couple stores in LA. Maybe they do phone orders.
I believe they do phone orders. I called and asked them if they ship and they said yes. Sadly, they didn’t have my size, their stock is very limited. This is the number for the L.A. Culver City store 310-313-5283 and this for the Melrose store 323-966-5870. Good luck!!
I think the construction points to outdoor use judging from the traction patterns, sacrificing thinner, finer herringbone type hardwood floor contact for more sparse cutouts and larger chunks of rubber being in contact with the ground. Such bulky patterns are especially effective not even on smooth outdoor court surfaces but more on pavement courts where tons of small pebbles and stones stick out and give a paved surface its stubbled top layer. Outdoor use could also be implied by the shoe’s rather bulky three-strap construction with the thick midfoot TPU and a large, thick piece of material covering the toe are. In addition, the woven black patches of material between the straps resemble the top used on the AJ11 which is thick and rugged. Combined with the thick rear foam which wraps upward to cup the heel area, put bluntly, they look like they were built for a beating and I like that.
Well these really dont look half bad! They got the OKC colors and i think it would be nice if it had a Nike symbol on it but other than that they look nice, and traction looks crappy but maybe its meant for outdoors like someone else had mention. But nice looking shoe, i would rock to ball in outdoors to get full effect! lol
I like the design a lot. looks secure and for a big man. I’m not that sure about the traction but it might surprise us. I might just pick one up if anyone knows where to get them.
