Jordan Brand is exceeding all expectations as to how far the brand will expand. Proving that statement, we see the first track spike ever from Jordan Brand. April Homes, a Jordan Brand sponsored Paralympic sprinter, showed us a pic of her laceless track spikes today.
A one piece upper, along with an inner mesh booty, sits atop a shiny sole plate. The upper is interesting, as the one piece outer layer looks extremely durable like vinyl, and the inner booty is a soft mesh. I’m not even skeptical about the fact that these don’t have laces, as stretchy materials have proven themselves in shoes such as the Nike Free 3.0 and last year’s Free Flyknit. Both of those shoes have laces, but the only reason for the laces is to hold the Flywire. The teal and navy colors complement each other perfectly too, giving these a very clean look.
These most likely won’t release, but I predict that other track spikes from the brand will be made available sooner or later. Are you liking what you’re seeing so far from Jordan Brand in the running industry? Let us know, and tell us your thoughts and concerns about these spikes.
Ha that is basically a nike spike with a jordan symbol, this is just like the baseball cleats, Nike tech, jordan style.
