Jamal Crawford – Brandblack Raptor Mid PE

Ever since Jamal Crawford hit the court with Brandblack shoes, the fashion level has been through the roof…just like his rainbow jumpers. These Brandblack Raptor Mid PEs have reflective studs along the upper, but I doubt they have any performance benefit. Would you lace these up?

  1. I mentioned these a month ago with no response. Wondering when someone is going to get a hold of them. TPU and ankle support look a bit suspect, but they look good. Wonder how they perform.

    1. I wrote an entire post about these and what I think about them. Maybe if you weren’t so worried about talking trash you might not have missed it. A grown man acting like a 10 yr old. Stay classy.

  2. I have a pair of BrandBlack Phantoms I’ve been playing in recently. They’re the ones with the leather upper that Crawford hasn’t played in, yet. Really smooth heel toe transition, significantly padded tongue and collar so comfort is up there with some of the best. As to ankle support, I would say they are most similar to the UA Micro G Torch (the first model)…check out there review for those on the site.
I have enjoyed playing in them through the first 6 hours, but others may not feel the same way.

        1. I’ll get right on that! Need to get at least a few more hours running full court first though. Wouldn’t be a just assessment if I don’t have at least 10-12 hours playing in them.

    1. I bought a pair of J. Crossover
I’d say the most interesting part is the midsole material, feels weird but great
I agree that the padding is really nice and extremely comfortable. However I think the upper material is too soft for me, doesn’t provide enough support that i need
