The Asics Gel-Kayano Trainer, originally released in 1993, has typically been released with either suede or mesh uppers. Today, the Asics Gel-Kayano Trainer gets a change in materials with a knitted upper.
Seen in two colorways, black/white and white/white, the Asics Gel-Kayano Trainer Knit features not only a different material for the upper, but also a slightly different design for the overall silhouette. A knitted ankle collar can be seen extending the shoe in a vertical fashion.
The Asics Gel-Kayano Trainer Knit sits atop a thick, white GEL-Cushioning midsole for comfort. Asics branding can be seen on the lateral side of the midsole and in tandem with the lacing system.
There is also a low top version that was spotted at 45einhalb in a Beige colorway. It is sold out, but keep your eye out for other retailers in the future.
You can purchase a pair of the Asics Gel-Kayano Trainer Knit in black or white HERE for $150 USD. Let us know in the comment section below what you think of the knitted version!

The knit is a great look honestly
Always liked this shoe. The black/whites look real nice.
Like that one the most too!
This is definitely a good look.
Is it $150 good?
Nah, not $150 good for me. Maybe $110/120.
