KD’s are brutal while being broken-in… once you get passed that process, they’re pretty good shoes…
Traction was surprisingly good… and this was on a dirty floor. I’ve yet to wear them on a clean floor but seeing as how I was firmly planted at all times with a bunch of debris all over the place… I think clean floors will be an amazing experience. Thank goodness they decided to go with this softer rubber.
The fit is weird and hard to get used to at first. I had to keep adjusting the laces throughout the night due to pressure points… otherwise known as hotspots. However, once I finally got it right… it was awesome. These contain your foot unlike any other shoe currently available – any other shoe currently available that doesn’t utilize Foamposite that is. Lockdown was so great that I didn’t even have to lace these up to the top eyelet so I was able to retain freedom in my ankle for range of motion.
Last Seasons Nike signature lineup was extremely disappointing on-court. So far, the LeBron X’s have been great and the KD V looks like they’re on point as well… all we have left is the Kobe VIII… they better not screw those up this time.
Hows the court feel with that 10 mm zoom bag? Low to the ground or no?
This is a teaser. Cushion was not the topic for this one.
Do these shoes contain better the foot than for example the Nike Lunar Hyperdunk?
Awesome. So far, sounds like the shoe for me. Just waiting for that final result! And good way to finish this article too!
when you say you finally got the fit right….what do you mean by that?
Do they still chafe the pinky toe area like the IV’s?
So this kind of simple setup can outperform the super mega hyper dynamic flywire technology that Nike showed us before. Oh Nike does it again. Hahaha
hey nightwing!! these look like great shoes!
what is it like having the laces go so far up the toe of the shoe where it flexes?
also, what are your thoughts on the under armour highlight trainer
i know its not basketball specific, but it looks extreemly unique and technical, and i think it might interest you, maybe not for playing though
“all we have left is the Kobe VIII… they better not screw those up this time. ” – AMEN
could they potentially be good for a small guard? thanks!
ps. im not interested in them, ive already the HD 2012, its just curious
greetings for spain! sorry for the bad english
Agree with the Kobe VIII better not screw up! but so far…. after wearing some replicas of it casually and just once on-court… there not half-bad!
between these and the hyperdunk 2012’s, which ones should i buy?
I’ve been reading your reviews the past year and your review on the 2012 hyper dunk convinced me to by them. I was wondering what you think of the apl concept 2’s as that’s the shoe I’m planning on buying. Also have you ever reviewed these shoes in the past?
are theese better than lebron x?
when will the review be done?
Where did the hotspots appear?
The shoe is very durable, One of my favorites, the color way pops, clean up very easy, I would choose another color with yellowish icy soul can be hard to clean based off of the surface it’s used on, the lock down is amazing, on the court great. Style points for casual wear. Collectors don’t sleep on this shoe, will eventually be a Gail Especially the KD Christmas and KD what the’s. “Bee Out”???????????????
