If you’ve been on the Internet at all in the last month you’ll have heard that the new Ghostbusters’ remake is hitting theaters in mid-July. What you may not have heard about is the FILA x Ghostbusters collaboration, directed by none other than Nas.
According to Footwear News, Nas handpicked the three silhouettes in the FILA x Ghostbusters collection. The FX-100 ($100), T-1 Mid ($90), and the Original Fitness ($85) will all be plastered with the classic movie franchise’s “Ghost” logo at the footbeds. The packaging will also receive unique co-branding. He teased the footwear collection recently at Ron Herman, one of the boutiques that will sell the FILA x Ghostbusters items.

“‘Ghostbusters’ was a staple childhood movie for me, one my mother took me to see, and I still love watching today with my son,” Nas said in a statement.
As for the shoes, even without the Ghostbusters branding these would be hits. The Original Fitness flaunts a predominantly cream canvas upper with suede at the heel and a black midsole. The bold red and black FILA branding patches at the heels accompany two lace choices: red and black.
The FX-100 features a premium cream suede upper, tumbled leather strap, and the same black midsole/white speckling found on the Original Fitness in the collection.
Finally, the T-1 mid also does the suede upper, but in black, plus a leather sockliner and a translucent glow in the dark midsole and outsole to highlight the Ghostbusters theme. Red accents add a little excitment to the mid. I guess it takes someone like Nas to put together fire colorways for FILA.
The FILA x Ghostbusters collection will be on sale at Ron Herman in Los Angeles, Foot Locker in New York (West 34th Street), online and in-store at colette in Paris, hypebeast.com, and fila.com. The shoes are currently available for pre-order from colette.
Do you think this collection is hot? Does it make you wonder if FILA has something planned for the next TMNT movie? Sound off below.
The only dope thing about these is the box.
Gotta disagree with you there, but I could care less that it’s Ghostbusters. Box is dope though.
I like em. too bad the movies looking like a stinker.
Can’t judge anything until you see the final product. Trailers can be deceiving.
