Since going viral for the past few days, the upside down Air Jordan 1 “Gold Toes” is now going up for auction on eBay — and the auction has already hit an outrageous sum.
After purchasing the sneaker, @mook.cool unboxed his kicks to find that he had been sent a defective pair of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Gold Toe’ — its Nike Swoosh was upside down. Although some argue that this defect effectively demolishes the value of the silhouette, many believe that this imperfection truly makes the shoe one of a kind.
As a result, the owner decided to put the pair up for auction. The sneaker is going for $17,500 as we speak, with more than two days left in the auction.
What do you estimate the value will be by the end of the auction? Let us know in the comment section below.

how something like this can pass through quality control is amazing but doesn’t surprise me. a few years back, i bought a retro reebok shaq attaq from a reputable store here in the philippines and discovered when i got home that the pump on the left shoe was upside down–had it replaced the next day. i was in a hurry the day i bought the shoe that’s why i only checked the right shoe to see if it fit.
Without any real way to determine authenticity, the dude that ends up paying $17,500 or more has more money than brains. Size 9 too…..little man size too…..makes even that more hilarious.
There’s one circulating in the Philippines for a Jordan XI Win like 96 pair.
One shoe has the Win like 96 carbon fiber. The other has the Win like 82 carbon fiber.
Doesn’t look as bad as this one lol
