The Reebok Rapide exited the Vector brand’s vault back in 2016 for its 30th anniversary. Now, the shoe has gotten two new classic colorways.
According to Retrobok, the Reebok Rapide was the brand’s entry-level lightweight runner. Back in the day, Reebok said it was a “stylish athletic shoe that is just right for jogging,” and it debuted alongside shoes like the Royale in the mid-80s.
While the retro differs a bit from its original, the Reebok Rapide saw a slight re-design in 1995 which introduced its female counterpart — the Reebok Etoile (“star” in French). The 1995 version of the Reebok Rapide and Etoile, both under the name Rapide, are what has returned.
Now stocked at exclusively at size? in the U.K. for £65 (approx. $90 USD), the Reebok Rapide dons white/red and blue/yellow colorways. According to size?, the shoes use a premium blend of breathable mesh and leather, along with textured accents on the sidewalls.
