In November of 2017, Reebok and Allen Iverson met to discuss designs for an upcoming I3 Legacy Collection that would celebrate A.I.’s historic sneaker line with Reebok. Now, samples of those efforts have leaked online.
The new shoe, which does not have a public name yet, was created by a talented young designer at Reebok. It rides atop the tooling from the comfortable Reebok Answer I and sports aesthetic influence from the beautiful Answer 3.
Like many of the basketball models of the era, this I3 Legacy shoe is coated in premium leathers. Branding is embossed at the tongue and down the leather strips that shroud the lacing system. That lacing system appears to be derived from the Reebok Question. Behind the tongue is embroidery that reads “The Strong Survived” while Iverson’s signature is featured on the side of the shoe.
When we spoke with Todd Krinsky, GM at Reebok Classic, in December of last year he said to expect the I3 Legacy Collection at the back half of 2018. Some small changes are being made between the late samples you see here and the final version of the shoe. Of course, we’ll keep you updated when the final shoe surfaces.
What do you think about this new shoe for Allen Iverson? Sound off in the comments below.

nightwings gonna like this
?
This. This looks good.
I love the Iverson collection by Reebok. Comfortable, high quality, good looking, and lasts forever. I’ve been a sneaker enthusiast since 1979 and the Iverson’s are the best I ever wore.
That’s dope!! You must’ve played in everything
I’m finally smiling again.
nice hybrid….but is it OG dmx cushion?
they would be stupid if it isn’t.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for years for Reebok to get on the I3 brand again (still waiting on that Answer III though…)
Looks solid material-wise, what about cushioning? If they don’t try to make these with performance in mind somewhat, not buying. Like those overpriced IV brick-like retros.
Reebok said these will be playable
Then I’m in!
