Nike 2014 FIBA World Cup Uniforms – First Look

Here we have a first look at what a couple of teams will be suiting up in during this year’s FIBA World Cup.

We see here both the home and away uniforms of both team USA and the host country, Spain (who wore LI-Ning uniforms 2 years ago in the 2012 Olympic Games). Both Nike jerseys feature a new stripe pattern, and while I doubt it’s Flywire, I do think it looks pretty cool. I prefer the placement of the design on Spain’s jersey, mostly because of the wing-looking effect it has. Obviously, white takes care of the home uniforms, but away rocks two different colors. USA goes with the traditional navy with red and white as a secondary while Spain uses red with yellow and black accents. One more thing to point out, on the USA’s 2012 jerseys, the logo was inverted, with the ‘S’ peaking downward rather than upward.

Nike has hooked up the top two teams in the tournament with what could very well be the two coolest uniforms. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments section below.

  1. Would be cool if the lines on the white USA one were red on one side and blue on the other.
Although then it would look purple in the middle.

  2. Not bad, but the 2012 Olympics uniforms were better and really broke ground.

BUT I am biased, so I’ll say the Philippines has great uniforms. 😀
