If you’re into hype, London is where you should be right now. Kim Jones, Dior Homme creative director (formerly the menswear director at Louis Vuitton), has unveiled a collection — and a unique NikeLab Air Max model — dropping today at Dover Street Market London.
His sneaker — which is emblazoned with Kim Jones on both the midsole and the heel strap — is an amalgamation of several different Nike models.
The Air unit underfoot comes from the Air Max 2015, the aforementioned strap appears to be an homage to the Nike Vandal, and the wide Swoosh comes from the Nike Blazer. The asymmetrical speed lacing system has been used on several Nike models of the past.
The sneaker, which seems to have no official name or price yet, will be launching today in London at Dover Street Market in very limited numbers. The shop is hosting an open house and will see all kinds of limited hyped product drops.
