Popular anime Akira is collaborating with streetwear brand Supreme for a capsule collection that is dropping very soon.
Akira, a Japanese manga that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, is an iconic series with a cyberpunk vibe to it. Its creator, Katushiro Otomo, announced the project with Supreme and why he got on board with the collection over the weekend during a televised interview at Tokyo’s GALLERY X BY PARCO.
The collection will includes a fishtail parka, work jacket, coveralls, jacquard long sleeve top, soccer top, two hooded sweatshirts, a zip-up hooded sweatshirt, four short sleeve t-shirts, a long sleeve t-shirt, a 5-panel hat, two skateboard decks, a plate, and a tray.
The Akira x Supreme collection will be available at Supreme’s online store and physical locations in New York, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London and Paris on November 2, while Japan will see a release on November 4. Pricing information has not been announced.
