Air Jordan XX9 Oregon Ducks PE

Yet another Oregon Ducks PE you really want, but will never have.

In my opinion the whole Oregon Ducks theme has gone too far and is over saturated, but my lord is this colorway of the XX9 amazing or what? This Oregon Ducks PE shows off the aesthetic capability of the Performance Woven upper with its feather graphic design in silver. Then the bright yellow branding and outsole really pop, but I’m left asking, where is the green? Even with the omission of green I would still cop this colorway in a heartbeat due to the perfect balance of bright and neutral colors.

I doubt these will release, but stay tuned to WearTesters.com if any upcoming information comes up.

  1. I wouldn’t say it “has gone too far” or “overrated.” At the end of the day, the varsity teams need shoes. The “sneaker media” just chooses to report on each release (or non-release). That’s like saying “USA” edition sneakers and apparel are “overrated.” What do you want them to do? Not give their athletes shoes? You’re entitled to your opinions, of course, and I am, by no means, saying you’re wrong. Just thought it was an odd choice of words.

    1. Oregon is sponsored by Nike, not Jordan Brand. I could understand your argument if this was a hyper dunk 2014 color-way, but I doubt we will see any Ducks fly in this model. Also a lot of these ducks colorways are not for performance I.E. Jordan IV’s, V’s etc. do the varsity players really need all those?

      1. Good point, and noted. But at the end of the day, it’s not like they’re being released to the general public in an in-your-face manner where it’s like, “Hey, here’s a new Oregon-based sneaker; buy it.” A ‘theme’ I do feel is being thrown out more often than not is the Yeezy (black base, red liner, green outsole) colorway. I’m just arguing semantics.

  2. They need to make a retail pair with some sort of design like this rather than elephant print, which has literally been put onto every single retail pair so far.

  3. My understanding is the person who started the Nike brand is Oregon alumni, that being the reason for them getting so many shoes, I may be wrong but that is what I have heard but never took the time to actually research it
