Adidas is continuing to pump out color ways for their new adizero 5-Star 4.0 cleats. Already given the label as the “lightest cleat in football,” it seems like the company is trying earn a new reputation for having a vast number of different color ways.
The new cleats all feature metallic gold with different colored accents such as red, green, navy, and white, while the cleat plate itself is a metallic gold with the accent colors coming on the bottom of each spike.
Their 5-Star frame gives good traction as well as good cutting speed while the EVA insole provides a nice cushion to an otherwise pretty lightweight shoe; this comes from the SprintSkin and ShockWeb that keep the shoe light while retaining durability. Adidas seems to be going in a positive direction and these shoes have me really excited for this season and what is to come.
The adizero 5-Star 4.0 Gold will be available 5/19/15 for $130, and they will be available in both mid cut and low cut designs with the green, red, and navy accents with the low cut and the white and black accents for the high. You can pre-order these cleats now at adidas (the mid cut and the low cut).
Only saw the top of these and I got excited because it looked like the top of the 2010 hyper dunks lol
These cleats make me wish that i could still play football.
