The biggest and most-hyped releases of the year were the Nike x OFF WHITE collabs. Virgil Abloh took classic Nike designs, added his “deconstructed” touches, and made them severely limited. What next? Easy: adidas.
While the Nike heyday of the ’80s and ’90s gave Virgil a slew of models to choose from, the adidas history from that time is a little less known here in the States. That didn’t stop Virgil, as he seems to have pulled inspiration from two early-2000’s basketball shoes from the 3 Stripes: the Pilrahna (the forefoot molding and higher cut) and the EQT Support (the midfoot stripes and lacing system).
The adidas Pilrahna was a shoe worn by Gilbert Arenas (and myself) in the early 2000s and it was a beast on court. It did nothing amazing, but did everything well (the equivalent to five Starting 5 badges today). It was a shoe that you put on and played without worry.
The EQT Support saw a rise in popularity recently, like every adidas EQT design, because it is a good design and has three stripes on the side (in case you missed it, adidas is huge right now).
These pictures are fuzzy, but according to Japanican, expect the adidas EQT BASK ADV on February 1 for $140.

Totally suck this eqt basketball. I bought cause i though it would be nice to have this sick looking shoe on the court.
Performance wise, it is the worst basketball shoe i have ever wore. Its like you are wearing a everlast sneaker on the court. The shoe sole is hard, there isnt any curve or slight bended sole for you to jump, try changing direction on court but the shoes isnt responsive.
However, the design and detail addidas came out with is very spectacular. Recommend it if you are getting it for daily use but not for basketballing.
