A little clunky, slightly sloppy and no breath-ability at all… but they aren’t THAT bad…
The fit featured on the Air Jordan XV is one of the most awkward that I’ve experience. It’s a shoe that was built for everyone yet no one at all…
If you have wide feet then let me tell you right now, you’ll enjoy these. Narrow feet – like myself – and you’ll like them but wish they fit just a little closer, throw in a thin insole on top of what is provided already to achieve that and you’re too close. It’s like a shoe on menopause…
Even after all that, I still enjoy them. I will say that I think the Air Jordan XV Low – I would hoop in those on the regular during senior year – offered a much better fit overall but in general, these really aren’t that bad. If they had one extra eyelet then they’d have been much improved with little effort.
By the way… when you have a shoe that fits awkwardly like this and throw in zero ventilation; guess what happens? Blisters… lots of them, the kind where your skin rolls up on one side of your foot too… yeah, all you ventilation haters can kiss my…
Terrible lacing system, as well.
Lacing system was just fine. Worked on numerous shoes like the XIII & XIV along with countless others. Its the shape of the shoe, the last they built it on and the shape of the panels that doesn’t quite work well. Built for everyones foot to the point almost no one can wear them perfectly.
The type of eyelets are the same but the structure of the lacing system is stupid. It’s too close together making it hard to get your fingers between them. That strip coming up the middle that you can lace through is also quite cumbersome. The 13s and 14s you can at least have easy access to pull each row tightly. This is what I found anyway.
Ah gotcha. Ive found that this lacing system is similar to the speed lacing system so all i do is pull and everything tightens up for me at once.
Other than this shoe, which shoe are you going to do your next performence review on ?
Stop it, the description of blisters is too graphic, reminds me of the days when I bought discount sneakers that were 2 sizes too big.
i played in the XV lows throughout my senior year of high school, too! they were quite excellent. i’ve never worn the XVs themselves, though, for some reason.
i don’t get it how you still like the shoe despite all the bad things you said about it… but then again, it’s your review, your opinion, and i’ll respect that. to each his own.
I remember hating the shoes so much that after I played on them for 2hours, i never took out of my closest since today… but that’s me and mine was the laser edition…
Sorry for th grammar errors
@nightwing have you ever tried the jordan 15 SE.IMHO way better than this
I havent but I believe it. They arent an Air Jordan so I wont add them with the Air Jordan Project but they were a nice redesign.
not an air jordan?why? some say that they are just a prada shoe rip-off.but i like it, i enjoy hooping in it.btw thanks for all the shoe reviews
Its just isnt a part of the Air Jordan line. AJ 1-28, XV SE is part of that.
these shoes are worthless
