Finally, after being announced back in the spring, we get official release dates and pricing for one of the craziest ’90s designs — the Nike Air Unlimited. It was a shoe designed for the Admiral, David Robinson, but may be more known for being on the feet of Chris Webber and Grant Hill.
A predecessor to the Nike Soldier 9 and 10 and their strapping systems, the Air Unlimited featured a neoprene ankle wrap with a velcro strap, a velcro heel locking strap, and an overlay strap running across the top of the shoe. The midsole features full-length encapsulated Air cushioning with, at the time, a groundbreaking window in the sole of the shoe showing the inner workings of Air. Solid rubber, serious herringbone and a thick patterned outsole round out the design and performance features.
Release date is rumored to be this fall, although no solid date is confirmed yet. Pricing on the original was $140, but no price has been revealed at this time.
This is definitely a retro to keep on the radar, especially if the black/slate blue OG colorway drops. As always, comments are free to leave below, but replies may cost you.

Man I remember these. Another back in the day classic.
Can’t wait…
I want a pair for the blacktop
I wonder if the heel air unit will be exactly the same as the OG. Those and the Air Prevail had the same unit that kinda protruded upwards into the heel. It felt like a literal bubble under the heel. It was uncomfortable at first, but was welcomed after you got used to it.
