New York ice cream phenom Mike Likes It Ice Cream and Ewing Athletics are finally poised to release their 33 Hi collab.
Releasing tomorrow, August 12, at both Mikey Likes It Ice Cream locations in New York — Harlem, 2500 Frederick Douglas Blvd, and LES, 199 Avenue A — this 33 Hi is lathered in premium suede that echoes the smooth, rich taste of Mikey’s ice cream.
Mikey has cooked up a custom flavor, Patrick Chewing, for the Knicks GOAT and only uses the best ingredients in his ice cream. Ewing Athletics has taken the same approach with high quality suedes and leathers on this 33 Hi.
Ewing’s latest collab keeps things simple with an entirely blue suede upper that honors the Mikey Likes It Ice Cream blue branding. Metallic accents at the eyelets, strap buckle, and heel represent the stainless steel ice cream scoopers Mikey uses to serve his treats while the white leather interiors echo the richness of the ice cream.
Additionally, the insoles flaunt an image of Mikey’s most popular flavor, Southern Hospitality, and the shoe sits atop translucent outsoles to reflect the transparency and social consciousness of Mikey’s brand.
If you can’t scoop a pair in store, an online release of the Mikey Likes It Ice Cream Ewing 33 Hi will occur at a later date (we’ll update you when we know it).
When I met Mikey in person at the Ewing Athletics release party for the Anthony Mason Tribute Ewing Concept he was charming and excited to serve the people his now world-famous ice cream.
