adidas adiZero Crazy Light 3 – First Look

The adidas Crazy Light 2 was a major improvement from the original and it looks like they will continue the trend with the adidas adiZero Crazy Light 3.

While the upper doesn’t look too different, the SprintFrame looks to be completely redesigned as is the outsole/ traction. Cushion looks like it’s been beefed up a bit so that should be interesting and I’m curious to see how much these weigh.

    1. sigh, nightwing has made videos on Acl/adidas relationship, as have many others, there is no relation. Correlation does not equal causation.

    2. hope it’s sarcasm in your part because only a moron would associate a KNEE injury like ACL with a footwear. other than the comment, i think the shoe looks like the Crazy Fast at a distance.

    1. Woah, didn’t notice that – good pickup.

I already like the CL series, now they’ve combined it with a super-responsive foam, I can’t wait to try em out!

  1. Did John Wayne not watch your video? Hope he was being sarcastic. Traction and the whole bottom looks good! If its a crazy light…how can it have beefed up cushioning…which it needed. So…now it’s just a “sane” light. 🙂

  2. I will not give the crazy lights another try. The Crazy Lights 2 (a supposed improvement of the CL1s)chewed up my feet – they never got “broken-in”.

  3. Cool new sprint frame. From pictures they look to be very good performance wise.
I hope they widened the forefoot out but I highly doubt they changed that.

  4. i think john wayne meant boost in the m8dsole? plz adidas give me a reason to buy ur shit other than crazy8s

  5. I wish adidas and nike both would try and differentiate the designs more. Just look at the lebron line and kobe line on the nike side.

Kobe 1, 2, 3, 4 all looked significantly different and had cool interesting designs, and the neverything after that has been slight changes.

Lebron 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 all looked different, then they started to look the same

Why cant they go back to more varied designs?

    1. ill have to disagree on the Lebron Comment. The leBron lineup had changed significantly from the 8’s to the 9’s and definitely to the LeBron X

    2. i think that is because once they find what works best for the athlete, they don’t want to stray too far from it. for them the performance comes first, and then design aesthetics and such.

  6. As a owner of the Rose 3.5, Crazy Light 1 and 2…
I think the traction of this shoe is going to be great most likely a improvement from the CL2 and Rose3.5 but still debatable if it will be better then the CL 1 and crazy quick. They really seemed to have taken out ALL support, but lets hope this remade sprintframe is better. These most likely by looking at the midsole will have Boost integrated in it for a good ride.

    Pros
    -super responsive foam
    -crazy light, as always
    -ventilation
    -traction

    Cons
    -lack of support
    -narrow fit
    -UGLY
    -same old design

These will be a pass for me if they don’t have boost.

    1. dear Jordan,
what is your opinion for your rose3.5?
Could you please share your experience on 3.5s?
      thax a lot!
I wear the 2.5s and I am very satisfied!!

      1. The rose 3 and 3.5 are basically the same shoe, so if you were looking to upgrade it doesn’t really matter which one you pick. Look to nightwing2303’s rose3 review and you’ll get a good understanding he does a perfect job.

The rose 3.5 hold up really good, they’ll last a long time the “air bubble” at the heels, are SUPER for support and plus adidas’ sprintframe the 3.5 are locked down with support. The herringbone traction is great on clean courts, as for dusty floors or floors that are not cleaned often, they’re horrid. Good cushioning system but its the same old thing that the 2.5’s have just a little more dense for some reason. The materials varies from colorway so i can’t say much about that. Lower ventilation then the 2.5, but i don’t really stress on that.

Over all its a good shoe, if I were you I would waste my money to go upgrade to the Rose3 or 3.5, if your 2.5 are in good shape just wait a bit for the rose4 I wouldn’t upgrade and if traction is you MUST HAVE, check out the crazy quick, they have said to have similar traction to the CL1 my favourite traction from a adidas shoe.

I hope I helped, thanks for asking 🙂

        1. Thanks a lot for your reply. I am sure that your thoughs will be very useful for lot a people in here!!
I didn’t really expect 3.5s to have traction issues in not-perfectly clean courts. After playing 8 months on the 2.5s in not-so-clean courts I find traction to do great job!
These half balls at the sides of the ankle, do they get you any trouble?
As a PG, I really do not want to leave rose series. Yes, I am biased! Although I am 5’7” and 65kg, I don’t like “lights” and low cut shoes! I planning to buy a new pair in October. You are right, Rose4 are on they way!

  7. Dear Jordan,
    Just a few questions.

Do u think that the Crazy Light 2s has a good cussioning? And has a good support? How about the Crazy Light 3s? Are they good and comfy? Is there a boost at the midsole? :)) thanks!

  8. Looks like they are going to use boost on these. Looking forward to your review on these. Interested on how these will perform on court.
