The recently released Zoom Pegasus Turbo has adopted several design cues from Nike’s top-tier runners — most notably the enormous Swoosh branding. However, the next Zoom Pegasus Turbo will hide the Swooshes for a much more subtle look.
The latest colorway — Gridiron/Black-Atmosphere Grey — utilizes a dark upper and blacked out Swooshes for a subdued aesthetic that doesn’t make the wearer’s feet look like a brash Nike ad. Black Flywire cables secure the lacing while the shoe rides atop gum bottoms.
The Zoom Pegasus Turbo is equipped with Nike’s lightest foam, ZoomX — a single men’s size 10 shoe weighs 8.4 ounces while a women’s 8 is 6.9 ounces — which should deliver 85% energy return, the most of any Nike foam to date, according to the brand. The upper is constructed a translucent material and secured with Flywire cables.
Moreover, the new sculpted heel collar should allow for the wearer’s Achilles to be comfortable and cut down on chafing, be it during long-distance running or for everyday use. You can check out the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo for more information on the technology featured on the new sneaker.
Expect this new Zoom Pegasus Turbo to hit retailers on November 1 for $180, according to reliable leaker US11.
