The Footpatrol x Reebok The Pump 25th Anniversary ‘G.O.A.T.’ release info is here! This latest Reebok collab arrives at Footpatrol and select Reebok Certified Network retailers on September 27, 2014. The original Reebok Pump was designed for basketball and the London-based Footpatrol has brought those roots back in their Reebok Pump. the shoe flaunts an off-white suede upper that is accented by a white midsole that sits atop an icy blue and gum outsole. That gum/beige finds its way onto the tongue Pump, heel Pump release valve, forefoot plastic eyelets, and the lace lock at the base of the tongue. ‘G.O.A.T.’ is featured on the lace locks while the Footpatrol gas mask logo is de-bossed on the outer forefoot. Tonal goat leather hits the vamp and underlays, carrying through the ‘G.O.A.T.’ theme literally and figuratively, with goat’s eyes printed on the insoles. The white mesh tongue is finished off with Reebok and Footpatrol branding on either side of the Pump.
Pricing will be right around the $220-$240 mark. Before people knock the price, look at how much shoe and how much quality comes with that price tag. When was the last time real goat leather was on a $170 Jordan? Is the Pump ball jumping off the tongue? A super common problem with Jordan is the Jumpman logo jumping off the tongue, among other standard quality issues. When the Remastered series comes out, the price tag jumps to $200.
