As an extension of Under Armour’s Rule Yourself campaign, UA brought in newly signed global partner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to narrate the first Under Armour Healthbox ad.
When you get down to brass tacks, it makes sense for UA to employ Johnson to spread awareness for the brand’s connected technologies; The Rock has tapped into a massive global online fitness community and he communicates with almost 50 million people daily via his Instagram account (although it seems like it is now mostly used for promotion and marketing). A teaser for the Under Armour Healthbox ad was posted yesterday to Johnson’s Instagram and now has over 244k likes.
So, do you think Under Armour, in partnership with Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, will be able to make connected technologies popular, especially one that comes in with a $400 price tag? Sound off in the comments below.
