Russell Westbrook has a “new” sneaker coming soon but fans of his budget-friendly Jordan line will be able to spot the obvious difference.
EXPOSED! Fully nude Why Not Zer0.1! In all seriousness, we finally know what Russell Westrbook’s first on-court signature shoe looks like naked. To be quite honest, it looks like most traditional basketball sneakers, and people that know about its excellent fit and easily tell why: look at all that containment on each side of the foot!
After wearing this latest build of his shoe last night against the Hornets — he went for 29 points with eight rebounds, ten assists, and three steals — it appears the shoe will be coming in two un-shrouded colorways in the coming weeks. Nearly every tech spec regarding this new build is identical to the original Why Not Zer0.1 (the main differences are aesthetic).

He’s been wearing the shoes since this summer.
Yup
I’m liking it without the shroud. The shroud was one of the things I didn’t like with the original. Now it looks more performance-oriented now that we can see how it was built. It has a very Jordan 32 feel for me. That band just behind the toe with the jumpman on it, is that elastic? Also the nylon bands on the midfoot with the material behind it looks like it’ll really give a very customized fit too.
I think they have a very VC IV look to them. Which is a good thing.
I always felt like the why nots were a tad too snug in the forefoot. Wonder if removing the shroud will allow that forefoot to loosen up a scosh… If so, I may have to pick up another pair.
It looks better Imo. On the other hand, it’s still a westbrook shoe which gives some sour taste to it.
Really wanted those Black/Cement/Orange ones for some time, basically because they follow suit with the 30.5. So ironically, I kinda want them for collection-sake more than anything.
But eh, so many upcoming releases, so little money
I hope the ventalation is better, the shroud burned my foot up
It seems whenever they take something out of this shoe, it gets better. You’ll be able to adjust your laces much easier in this one. Weight, ventilation, and fit for different shaped feet will be improved as well. Hope they lower the price a few more bucks on this too, since its less material.
I prefer them with the shroud and definitely without the huge Russ logo.
