An On-Foot Look at the Jordan Ultra Fly 3

The Jordan Ultra Fly 3 is finally dropping at retailers Stateside and overseas so we’ve got an on-foot look for you all.

The Ultra Fly 3 is a streamlined update to its predecessor (although it looks nothing like the Ultra.Fly 2) that ditches the Air Jordan 15-like styling of the Ultra.Fly 2 and instead opts for a forefoot synthetic shroud. That brings this shoe, which is designed for the two-way player, firmly into Jordan Brand’s 2018 line up full of shrouds and zippers.

The shoe pictured here features a simple black and white color scheme with a huge 23 logo on the outsole (an homage to Michael Jordan). Expect durable herringbone traction underfoot as well as a less bulky ride due to the lower cut. Cushioning is supplied by Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel that are embedded within a Phylon midsole.

The silhouette is now available at Finish Line in several colorways and overseas at Kicks Store for $125.

  1. has been out in the ph for a couple of weeks now. closest look i could get from the vindicates so far. and yes, traction was tough as nails (at least on hand, in store, from JB) from what i remember

    1. naka upo nga lang yan sir dito sa nike festival mall-alabang. if i’m not mistaken 4 or 5 weeks na yata. black/white/orange.

  2. Found them recently at Niketown Seattle. Seems like a solid team shoe. Information on the shoes say there is forefoot and heel zoom. Couldn’t really feel it in store. I’m wondering if the setup is similar to the CP3 11s.

  3. They’ve been on the Finishline site for a while now too. I saw them in store there and wasn’t sure how I felt about it.

  4. I had a chance to try them on in the store. They do have zoom in the forefoot and heel but they will need to break in. The forefoot is pretty narrow too.

  5. Performance reviews please. You guys are taking a lot of time. Shoe has been in the market for months now. Can’t make a purchase decision based on looks.

    1. Hi Deepu,

We pay for our shoes here. However, we cannot afford to buy every shoe. Please do not expect or demand reviews on any products. We review what we can.
