Odell Beckham Jr.’s seventh pregame cleat for the 2018-19 NFL season is inspired by LeBron James’ dominating play on the hardwood.
King James is known for lacing up his Soldier line when he truly wants to get busy because lockdown is generally the Soldier’s strongest suit. The Soldier 12 is a performance beast and with two elastic straps secured by hook-and-loop closures making it perfect for a sport like football. Thus, OBJ and Nike put the Soldier 12’s upper atop a carbon fiber plate and cleat to continue his flood red cleat series.
Worn by OBJ during pregame of the New York Giants’ away game against the Atlanta Falcons, this is the latest special edition cleat in a series of cleats that pay homage to Nike athletes and their shoes. Past cleats included homages to Kobe’s sneakers, Andre Agassi’s line, and tract star Michael Johnson.
