The Nike Zoom Rize 2 is the follow up to the most surprising performance basketball shoe of 2019, the under the radar Nike Zoom Rize. This is a shoe we’ve been waiting for since the original surprised us. Can the 2nd edition live up to the reputation of the breakout performance shoe that Nike created last year? Jalique’s got the answer.
What’s in the video?
In the video, Jalique provides detailed information from all the usual categories, providing the in depth information you need. He supplies expert level opinions on the materials, cushioning, traction, support, and fit. Here’s some of what he discusses:
- What was great about the original Zoom Rize
- Beastly Kobe 9 inspired traction
- A clunky flex groove?
- A thicker Zoom Air unit than last year?
- Stack height vs the Zoom Rize
- Feel of the heel foam
- Textile upper similar to the Nike Zoom BB NXT
- Lower cut vs the Zoom Rize
- Sizing recommendations
- Support and stability concerns
And as an added bonus, Jalique claims he’s not much of a lateral mover on the court. Editor’s Note: we didn’t notice any evidence of this at the WearTesters’ hoop session over Allstar Weekend 2020 in Chicago.
