With the Summer Olympics in Rio coming to an end, Nike is going to release a number of Basketball shoes to represent the Olympics. The Nike Basketball “Gold Medal” Pack includes the Kyrie 2, a Lebron Soldier 10 we saw online recently, and the KD 9.
The Kyrie 2 features an all red upper and midsole with a metallic gold swoosh in the midsole. The Lebron Soldier 10 features an all white upper with gold speckles in the straps, a metallic gold swoosh logo, and a clear translucent outsole with gold flecking. The KD 9 features a dark obsidian Flyknit upper with red liner and eyelets, a metallic gold swoosh logo, an a clear translucent outsole.
The ‘Gold Medal’ colorways of the Kyrie 2 ($140), Lebron Soldier 10 ($140), and KD 9 ($150) are set to release on August 22. Stay tuned for more information on where to purchase.
What do you think of these colorways? Do you think Nike should’ve included more shoes in this pack? Is it a bit premature to release a gold medal pack when the the USA basketball squads haven’t gotten gold yet? Will you cop a pair? Let us know in the comments section below.
