Chicago streetwear designer Don C recently revealed that he may be working on the Nike KD 12 on the latest episode of The Boardroom on ESPN+.
It is unclear how big of a role Don C will play in the designing of the sneaker and how this will impact Leo Chang, the KD line’s long time designer, and his role as the lead designer on the team. Although, we believe Chang will still lead the design of the KD 12 while Don C provides input in a collaborative manner.
“I’m working on the KD 12, the stories that we’re telling. The sauce that I think I can add, I want to tell some stories about KD’s inspiration, things that he’s into that we can now message through the product,” he added.
This wouldn’t be Don C’s first collaboration with Nike/Jordan, as the artist was the main designer for the Jordan Legacy 312 that released during fall 2018.
