Get an Official Look at the Upcoming Under Armour Curry 2 Low in Combat Green

The next version of the Under Armour Curry 2 Low to release will be a new look on the Curry line.

Combat Green makes its way onto Curry’s low top edition of the Curry 2 by Under Armour, whether you like it or not. The low top plays similar to the mid, with a lot less restriction around the ankle and it’s missing a bit of the heel support in favor of the low top design. We’ve got an official WearTesters performance review of the low top Curry 2 here in case you were potentially interested in obtaining a pair upon their release – which is currently scheduled for March 19th.

  1. Saw the Curry 2 lows in store and I’m going to pass. Just like what some of the weartesters here have said, the heel looks very suspect. The Speedform material in the low seems ao much softer that the Speedform material in the rear upper of the mid, almost like 2 different materials. I can seen why Steph Curry wear these lows only for training or pre-game purposes. I am so disappointed with the low version.

  2. Its a good looking casual/workout shoe. The shoe. Not this colorway. Reminds me of several of UA’s recent runners. I think the Gemini looks better though. I wouldn’t trust playing in it being a heavier player in need of support and cushion though.

    1. Agreed. I kind of like the overall look of the model but wouldn’t necessarily trust it for my needs and knees.

  3. just recently got a pair of the black curry 2 lows, and shooting around in them/doing drills, i feel perfectly fine, it’s when you start playing in them that you start worrying a bit…not that anything has happened in them YET, but these kind of have the same problem as the lillard 1, which i also enjoyed playing in and (fortunately) wore without much incident for a good many months- the heel area is REALLY soft, it’s just a piece of speedform at the back, a really thin plastic heel counter and a heel pillow that doesn’t even come up to your achilles (never mind having a notch for it), which means that you get basically zero heel lockdown…why they decided to do this, i really have no idea, but it certainly doesn’t inspire confidence, especially if you are prone to ankle injuries…i am not, so i am really chancing it, i guess

also note that the toebox is super narrow, having wide-ish feet (i am between a 9.5 and a 10, but usually wear a 9.5 in nikes) i had to go half a size up from the size i prefer to play in, that can’t have helped with the heel lockdown either
