Foot Locker Taps Trae Young, LiAngelo Ball, and Don C for “One and Done” NBA Draft Campaign

Foot Locker is celebrating this year’s rising basketball stars — and poking fun at the infamous “one and done” rule — with a new campaign for the NBA Draft.

This year, Foot Locker has created new ads with Draft picks that had short-lived collegiate careers: Trae Young and LiAngelo Ball. In the ads, which feature comedian Reggie Cruz, the athletes are selling Foot Locker-exclusive t-shirts designed by acclaimed designer Don C.

“I loved Foot Locker’s Draft commercial from last year with my brother, so I think it’s exciting that I can continue the Ball family tradition by being in this year’s campaign,” said LiAngelo Ball. “The ‘One and Done’ concept is definitely something athletes and fans have been talking about a lot this season and I think it’s great that Foot Locker is able to have fun with some of the pre-Draft conversations.”

Today, the “One and Done” t-shirt will be available on, shoppable through Instagram, and at Foot Locker’s New York Times Square store. Additionally, the Times Square store will host meet-and-greets today with “One and Done” athletes like Jaren Jackson, Jr. (2:00 PM), Collin Sexton (3:00 PM), and Trae Young (6:00 PM). Another limited-edition shirt will drop later in Draft Week.

“I’ve always counted on Foot Locker to have the best variety of sneakers and athletic-lifestyle apparel, so it’s special to have an exclusive and limited-edition T-shirt collection that commemorates this year’s Draft class and the start of my professional career,” said Young.

Be on the lookout for a 60-second commercial — which will feature a special guest — that will air nationally on ESPN come June 21 (Draft Day). You can check out the spots with Trae Young and LiAneglo Ball below.
