The Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement’ is returning for All-Star Weekend and we have our first real look at the upcoming Retro release for 2018.
I still have a couple pairs of the last Air Jordan 3 in the ‘Black/Cement’ colorway and they just happen to be sitting right next to me as I type. Judging by the images, it doesn’t look like the shape of the shoe or the cuts and paneled overlays have changed between this 2018 edition and the previous 2011 edition.
What has changed is the perforations on the tongue and collar are a little bigger — similar to what we saw on the 2008 CDP release of the shoe. The leather on the tongue looks to be a bit better than the pleather we saw used on the 2011 version while Nike branding replaces the Jumpman/Jordan branding on the heel tab and outsole.
Many of us here are excited to try and grab a fresh pair of the Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement’ because the shoe is an all-time classic that seems to never go out of style. You can test your luck on February 17, MJ’s birthday, for $200.
