An official look at the alternate edition of the Air Jordan 5 representing Laney High School.
The Laney High School colors being applied to an Air Jordan Retro is not a new concept, but like the ‘Alternate’ series that reimagined classic Air Jordan’s in Alternate Chicago-themed colorways, the Air Jordan 5 ‘Laney Alternate’ reverses the color blocking of the original while adding a splatter print midsole.
Premium looking Nubuck is used along with a chenille Jumpman logo. The reflective tongue made famous by the original AJ5 remains intact this time around which pairs nicely with the Cement Grey midsole.
The price on this Retro is $200 — which is crazy. Prices keep going up without any real reason. Though the material quality on the pair is very nice for an Air Jordan Retro, $200 for the pair is excessive.
If you like what you see, then expect the Air Jordan 5 ‘Laney Alternate’ to release January 26.
