The Air Jordan 3 Varsity Royal Cement is essentially a color-swapped version of the Air Jordan 3 SE Unite that released during NBA All-Star Weekend 2020. The branding on the heel tab is different as “Nike Air” does not appear this time around. That can often mean the materials used are different, but this time, Jordan delivered a really nice product.
What’s in the video?
In the video, Chris provides detailed information from all the usual categories, providing the in depth information you need. He supplies expert level opinions on the materials, cushioning, traction, support, and fit. Here’s some of what he discusses:
- Polyurethane insole
- Nike Air vs Jordan Air branding
- The shades of white on the shoe
- Left shoe factory and right shoe factory differences ?
- Two sets of alternate laces (blue and white)
- Is the toe shape more OG or 1994?
- Tongue shape
- Sizing recommendations
- Varsity Royal Cement vs SE Unite
- Night shoes vs days shoes (thanks Mrs. Wing!)
And as an added bonus, we get Chris’ opinion on using toe shields, leather protector, and water repellant on your shoes. If you’ve been watching a while, you can probably guess how that will go.
And, double bonus, we get a throwback story about Chris’ experience reviewing Court Grip. Who remembers that stuff? They even had an NBA sponsorship…
