2018 has seen several unique and limited Air Jordan 1 releases. In just a few days one of the more questionable colorways, the Air Jordan 1 ‘Homage to Home’, will be releasing.
An homage to Chicago and Michael Jordan’s historic time there, the shoe is split down the middle between the Air Jordan 1 ‘Banned’ and Air Jordan 1 ‘Chicago’. This appears to be one of those shoes ‘heads either love or hate, but the tumbled leather looks premium in pictures and the shape of the shoe is pretty true to the original.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Homage to Home’ (Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG NRG) will get two releases. The first is a very limited 2,300-pair drop in Chicago on April 21; that pair will feature small ‘From’ and ‘For’ tabs on the heels as well as numbered patches.
The wider second release is scheduled for May 19, but those pairs are not individually numbered and will not feature the heel tabs. However, both pairs will retail for $160 and come with two sets of laces. (Pictured here is the May build.)
Is the Air Jordan 1 ‘Homage to Home’ a shoe you’re looking to add to your collection or is it a pass? Are you going after the limited Chicago-only build? Let us know.
