While scouring the internet for any trace of a Damian Lillard signature shoe, I stumbled upon these concept drawings. While these are not official and just a fans personal project, they do offer a look into what designers go through when they start the design process. I noticed a few interesting things. First, the cushion setup mentions nothing of Boost foam, but it does have a “Truss Wave” inspired by the Bay Bridge, something bay area folks, like Lillard, would appreciate. I would imagine the “Truss Wave” would be some kind of modified TPU SprintFrame that acts like a spring when compressed. The large GeoFit collar would help make Lillard’s shoe comfortable. I also like the simple logo which combines Dame’s initials “DL” and his number/letter “O”. With Lillard recently signed to a lucrative adidas deal, we know there will be a signature shoe. Stay tuned to WearTesters.com for any sneaker news involving Damian Lillard as these concepts only make me, a Blazers fan, more impatient. What do you think? Comment on what you would like to see on Damian Lillard’s signature model.
