The winter weather won’t be the only thing gettin’ stormy.
adidas Constortium and Aberdeen-based boutique Hanon have announced their newest sneaker collaboration, the ‘Dark Storm’. Here, Hanon is telling yet another story of its north-east locale; the design is inspired by Scottish weather and its ever-changing unpredictability.
From the scattered skies to sizable rain clouds, the transitional “3-seasons-in-a-day weather” influences the light to dark color fading scheme. Featuring a classic ’80s ZX style look with a modern lifestyle touch, the low top silhouette possesses a few different materials. The upper is constructed with suede overlays and leather interior linings. Bespoke jacquard mesh webbing wraps the midsole.
Hanon branding is found throughout the sneakers including detailed on the three stripes, stamped on the leather tongues, and its “Flame Logo” is flaunted each of the heel tabs. In addition, the coordinates of Aberdeen are embossed on the inside of the tongues. Each pair will come with three sets of laces that match the color fading theme.
The adidas Consortium New York x HANON ‘Dark Storm’ releases on Saturday, December 2, through an in-store launch event. Any remaining repairs will be put on the Hanon site later that day. Sizes will run from a UK4-UK12.5 and retail price is set at £125.00 (approx. $166 USD).
