Foot Locker has once again teamed up with NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook for a creative and funny new ad — all while prepping for his All-Star appearance.Showcasing some upcoming Jordan Brand gear, Russell dives right in, giving a fan some #AlternativeStats and shutting the statisticians up.
“February truly does bring the best at Foot Locker, and who better to celebrate that with than one of the brightest stars in the NBA,” said Stacy Cunningham, vice president of marketing. “As Russell continues to be a leader on the court, we knew he was the perfect addition to help us launch this year’s campaign.”
The spot, created by worldwide agency BBDO, launches digitally today and will make its broadcast debut on February 9 on TNT. The campaign will continue through NBA All-Star with spots in State Farm All-Star Saturday Night and the 66th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 19.
