SNS Co-Founder Confirms New Parley for the Oceans x adidas Versions

2017 is going to be a big year, and it looks like adidas will be carrying the momentum it built in 2016 into 2017. Sneakersnstuff co-founder Erik Fagerlind has confirmed there will be new Parley for the Oceans x adidas releases in spring of 2017.

Eric Liedtke, adidas Group Executive Board member responsible for Global Brands, pledged that the brand would make “one million pairs of shoes using Parley Ocean Plastic in 2017” with the goal of completely eliminating virgin plastic from adidas’ supply chain. We’re excited to see whether the brand actually does that in the new year.

  1. Eco-friendly products are long overdue, with the current environmental crisis the time has come for innovative products such as these. Not only they look clean and fresh, it provides hope not only for the environment but us as human beings capable of rational thinking.

    1. Also agreed. And it’s not like you are losing a lot (i.e. quality) by using recycled materials. Aside from the usual wear and tear, I haven’t read anything negative on it like the materials ripping or the upper separating.

Now if only they would make more of these or use it on other silhouttes. The parley uncaged UB was soooooooo difficult to acquire and became a reseller’s delight
