The adidas AlphaBounce RC is the German brand’s latest version of the popular Bounce-equipped runner.
The RC is a slight redesign of the original; it utilizes a larger heel counter, one that extends further on both sides of the ankle, that echoes the new eyestays. It adds the Three Stripe branding to the upper which has also been reworked — the version pictured here flaunts a sleeker heather grey look instead of the traditional mesh. The midsole is only slightly altered visually, but the shoe is 10g lighter than the new 2017 AlphaBounce model, pictured below, which just became available on the US adidas site.
Both versions still use adidas’ seamless FORGEDMESH upper that is supportive and stretchy to aid with custom fit. The RC carries over the ADIWEAR outsole for durability.
These are not available in the States yet but hopefully, they arrive Stateside soon. Overseas, on adidas’ Portugal site, the AlphaBounce RC is priced at €79,95 (approx. $85 USD), beneath what the new regular AlphaBounce is listed for — €109,95 (approx. $116).
