Official Under Armour product DNA has hit the Internets, and it gives us a bit more information about a shoe we saw at the UA SS17 showcase: the Under Armour Fat Tire Ascent.

These tech specs regard the Fat Tire Ascent Low, what could be the SpeedTire Low — it features the same Michelin Wild Gripper outsole, and the same forefoot, as the Fat Tire Ascent pictured above. The Low will not feature the Storm ankle collar or the BOA lacing system. What it will feature is a flexible, soft-shell upper finished with a rubberized print for durability, a removable Charged cushioning sockliner, and a full-length Micro G midsole (!!).
The Under Armour representatives I spoke to at the SS17 showcase said that the Fat Tire Ascent (with BOA and Storm1 tech) pictured below would be arriving on February 1, 2017. Here’s hoping that some official information comes down the pipeline prior to that date.
Now that you have some tech specs for the SpeedTire/Fat Tire Ascent, have your thoughts on them changed? Can Micro G sway you? Let us know in the comments.
